 MARK PEELER is Director of Athletics and Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Erskine College. He is a graduate of the University of the South (Sewanee) where he received a B.A. in Political Science. He earned his Master’s degree from Winthrop University. He and his wife, Maggie, have three children: Hope, Jenkins, and Max. They live in Due West. Why does Mark volunteer with FCA? "FCA is important to me because I see an opportunity through sports to minister to young people.
I considered attending seminary as a senior at Sewanee, but I learned that ministry can come in different forms, and through my passion for sports—specifically basketball—I could further the cause for Jesus. The goal of FCA is winning; winning for Jesus, and we can never win enough!"

FOR YOUR OVERWHELMING SUPPORT!
Lakelands FCA hosted 475+ people at Greenwood Presbyterian Church on September 29, 2009, for the Greenwood/Abbeville Home Team Development Dinner. Jeff Davis, Assistant Athletic Director at Clemson University, gave the keynote address. Coach Davis challenged us to thank God for all our blessings, and he reminded us that there is no recession in God’s Kingdom. You responded generously! | NEW ADULT HUDDLE IN LAURENS COUNTY! The Laurens County Adult Huddle meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Presbyterian College.
