Does every dollar really count?
Will my donation actually change someone’s life? The short answer is yes. The longer answer is in the hearts of the students walking the breezeways at school.
Let’s say you can afford only a $5 donation. That $5 buys a box of donuts for a morning FCA meeting at a local high school. One student tells his friend, ‘hey, come to FCA, you don’t have to actually listen, just get a free donut!’ So he comes to FCA, hears about Jesus. A seed is planted. As he’s sitting in the cold the next week, he remembers the donuts and warmth of FCA. He comes back a second time. A seed is watered.
Little does he realize that these meetings where he hears about God’s love for him were planned for him before he was born. God had a message for his heart on those mornings. Something as a small as a $5 donation and a box of donuts can lead students to meetings where they hear about Jesus’ love for them.
FCA’s purpose is to share God’s love in everything it does. Whether in a school’s morning huddle meeting, an FCA weekend retreat, a summer camp, a bonfire, or a Bible being given the good news is being shared to the future generations. No donation is too small…or too big. FCA operates on your donations. If the Holy Spirit is tugging at your heart to give something, please don’t ignore it. Don’t delay in giving. Lives are at stake. Know that every penny and every prayer matters.
