| The Fellowship of Christian Athletes has worked with Chris Spielman to create a series of annual football games, called the Spielman Gridiron Classic. Our goal is to showcase high profile high school football teams, as well as create community awareness for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes programs and Breast Cancer research. It is also intended to be an event that is wholesome and fun for the whole family while benefiting the communities of Central Ohio.
The 1st Annual Spielman Gridiron Classic games will take place on Friday night, September 5th with DeSales hosting New Albany, kick off at 7:30pm. The second game will be at Gahanna Lincoln High School on September 6th at 7:30pm. The Lions will host the Cleveland Glenville Tarblooders and the program will include a short speech from Chris Spielman and trophy presentation.
Proceeds from the Spielman Gridiron Classic will benefit the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Stefanie Spielman Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. There will be “Inaugural Game Programs” on sale at both games and a product tent with Spielman Gridiron Classic memorabilia.
For event sponsors, a VIP tent with food and beverages will be on site; special passes will be required to enter. Chris and several other famous football players and coaches will be mingling with the VIPs.
These games are open to the public and tickets can be purchased in advance by calling the respective school athletic departments. DeSales is 267-7808 and Gahanna 478-5518.
