Sport: Basketball (2 years in high school, but I played varsity as an 8th grader so that could be 3)
FCA Huddle Info: we meet at 7:15 in a classroom at our school. It is really great to hear everyone's imput on their faith on a regular basis because you don't necessarily get the chance to talk to people about that during school. This is a way to set a time aside for God, but it's even better because you get to share your time with your peers who have the want and desire for Christ as you do!!
Favorite Bible Verse and Why? Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. (1 Corinthians 9:25) Because athletics is such a big part of my life, it is incredible that the Bible directly reminds us that we are competeing to glorify God and honor him, whereas others may not. It reminds us that our talents are a gift God gave us, and we should constantly be using them to spread His word and lift up His name.
