Reggie White 1961-2004

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes lost a longtime friend and ministry partner on December 26, 2004, when Reggie White passed away at the age of 43.

One of the greatest players in NFL history, White was widely known for his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ—a faith that began at an FCA Camp in Black Mountain, N.C. He continued his partnership with the FCA ministry throughout his legendary career as a volunteer, speaker and supporter at the local and national levels.

The most-honored athlete ever to play defensive end in the NFL, White was voted to a record 12-straight Pro Bowls during his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers. He also was an 11-time All NFL selection, was elected to the league's 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, and ended his career as the second all-time leader in sacks.

FCA Foundation President, Carey Casey, was able to share in the private service held for White on December 30 in Charlotte, N.C. The ministry also asks that you remember the White family in prayer during this time.
