Staff Profile Sean McNamara - Randolph Macon College Joined Staff - June 1, 1999 Role - Executive Director
Bio - Sean McNamara is a commissioned minister of the gospel and serves as the Executive Director of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Lacrosse Ministry. A native of Rochester, NY, Sean has a history of outstanding accomplishments in sports and Christian ministry. With FCA, he has directed ministerial programs for the lacrosse community throughout the United States since May of 1999.
Sean McNamara is a 1999 graduate of Randolph-Macon College (RMC), where he earned a B.A. in Psychology. At RMC, he was captain of the men’s lacrosse team, and was named to the Academic All Conference Team while leading the Yellow Jackets. He founded the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Chapter of RMC.
Sean has also served the lacrosse community as a coach. McNamara went on to coach college lacrosse for two years while working on staff with FCA in 1999 & 2000. McNamara was the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at the Calverton High School (MD) in 2001 before becoming an assistant coach for Calvert Hall High School and was part of the MIAA A Championship Team and still coaches. In 2003, McNamara served as an assistant coach on the silver medal winning Canadian U-19 National Team. McNamara's first FCA experience was in 1992 when he accepted Christ at the FCA Lacrosse camp in Gettysburg, PA.
