Local Fundraising Golf Scrambles
FCA staff all across the country use the golf scramble format as one of the main ways to generate funds in order to support ministry. It was in 1977 that FCA began to organize its golfing ministry. Now FCA golf provides and coordinates one of the finest National Golf Scramble Championships in the entire country. The format is local scrambles are hosted by local FCA staff in order to raise funds to support their ministry needs. Winners from these local scrambles, which are held all across the country, advance to play in state level tournaments. These state tournaments are usually held at one of the premier courses in that state, the state championship for Mississippi is held at Old Waverly, in West Point. Winners (in MS 1st and 2nd place in both net and gross division) from each state championship advance to play at the FCA National Scramble Championship held at T.P.C. Sawgrass in Point Vista Beach, Florida.
Our local tournaments are for the serious golfer looking to play for a National Championship, as well as, the golfer who is a serious "hacker" but loves to support the ministry of FCA in their local community, and every golfer in between.
